We are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and future-focused Manager, Communications & Brand to lead communications and brand activities across Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam, while serving as the Communications & Brand Business Partner for one of Philips' businesses across APAC.

The role will shape reputation, drive stakeholder engagement, enhance executive visibility, and deliver integrated communications strategies that advance business priorities. The successful candidate will combine strategic communications expertise with a strong understanding of healthcare and the evolving role of artificial intelligence, using both to strengthen Philips' leadership in health technology and innovation.

As the communications lead for Korea, you will partner closely with country leadership, business teams, and regional and global colleagues.

Your Role

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

Serve as a trusted communications and brand advisor to country leadership and APAC business leaders, providing strategic counsel on reputation, executive visibility, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, and business transformation.
Partner with leadership teams to align communications strategies with business objectives, growth priorities, customer engagement, and market opportunities.
Identify communications opportunities and risks and recommending strategies that strengthen Philips' reputation and market leadership.
Represent Communications & Brand as a strategic business partner, ensuring initiatives contribute to business outcomes, stakeholder trust, and organizational success.
Advise leaders on communicating Philips' innovation agenda, including AI-enabled healthcare solutions, in a credible, meaningful, and stakeholder-relevant way.

Reputation, Brand & Thought Leadership

Develop and execute integrated communications and brand strategies that strengthen Philips' reputation and position the company as a trusted leader in healthcare innovation.
Drive thought leadership on critical healthcare topics, including AI, clinical innovation, workforce challenges, sustainability, and access to care.
Build executive visibility platforms for senior leaders across healthcare, technology, policy, and business communities.
Ensure consistent application of Philips' brand identity, messaging, and corporate narrative across channels and stakeholder interactions.

Strategic Storytelling & Media Relations

Lead strategic storytelling that translates complex healthcare technologies, customer impact, and innovation into compelling narratives.
Identify and develop stories showing how Philips improves patient care, supports clinicians, and transforms healthcare delivery.
Build strong relationships with healthcare, business, technology, and mainstream media and lead proactive engagement that strengthens visibility, influence, and trust.
Develop high-quality executive communications, media materials, social content, customer stories, videos, speeches, articles, and employee communications.

AI-Enabled Communications Innovation

Champion responsible adoption of AI-enabled communications practices to enhance audience insight, stakeholder engagement, content effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
Use AI-powered tools and analytics for content development, social listening, reputation monitoring, trend analysis, campaign optimization, and performance measurement.
Identify emerging technologies and innovative approaches that improve communications impact, scale, and effectiveness.
Partner with business leaders to communicate Philips' AI innovation story responsibly and effectively.
Foster continuous learning and experimentation while applying human judgment, quality control, and governance.

Issues, Crisis & Reputation Management

Monitor the external environment to identify emerging issues, reputational risks, and opportunities.
Advise leadership on issues and crisis communications strategies and support timely, effective response planning.
Collaborate with legal, regulatory, quality, and business teams to ensure aligned communications during sensitive situations.
Protect and strengthen Philips' reputation through proactive stakeholder engagement and effective risk communications.

Campaigns, Employee Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

Lead integrated communications campaigns across earned, owned, shared, and internal channels.
Drive communications for product launches, customer partnerships, innovation announcements, and strategic initiatives.
Develop employee communications that foster engagement, alignment, and connection to Philips' purpose, strategy, and culture.
Collaborate across global, regional, and local teams and manage external agencies and partners to deliver high-quality, measurable outcomes.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

Establish meaningful KPIs and measurement frameworks demonstrating contribution to business priorities, stakeholder engagement, and reputation.
Use data, analytics, and AI-driven insights to evaluate effectiveness and continuously optimize performance.
Champion communications innovation and best practices across the region.

You're the right fit if

Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, corporate affairs, public relations, brand, or marketing communications, ideally within healthcare, health technology, life sciences, or a multinational organization.
Proven experience providing strategic communications counsel to senior leaders and business executives.
Strong track record in integrated communications, reputation management, media relations, thought leadership, executive communications, and issues or crisis management.
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a complex, matrixed, multinational environment.
Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, policy landscape, and media environment in Korea; experience across APAC markets is advantageous.
Experience using digital tools, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve communications effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.
Understanding of the opportunities and implications of AI in healthcare, with the ability to translate complex innovation into compelling and accessible narratives.
Exceptional storytelling, content development, stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
Self-starter able to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related discipline.
Fluent in Korean and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
