Field Service Engineer

About Position:

Role Summary:

The Field Service Engineer provides frontline technical support, both onsite and remotely, focusing on maintenance, basic repairs, and installation of products and services under close to general supervision.

The role develops technical expertise by applying diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques to resolve routine product issues and support senior engineers with more complex cases. Work is primarily performed at customer sites while following established procedures and regulatory requirements.

The position also supports continuous improvement through product knowledge development, application of best practices, and delivery of service excellence aligned with organizational standards and customer expectations.

Field Service Engineer는 필립스 HealthTech 제품의 설치 및 유지보수, 기술 지원과 서비스 딜리버리를 통해 고객 만족도를 극대화하고 필립스의 가치를 제공하는 역할을 합니다. 업무는 주로 고객 현장에서 수행되며, 필요에 따라 원격 기술 지원을 제공하고 제품의 고장 진단 및 문제 해결, 기본적인 수리, 예방 유지보수, 업그레이드 및 설치 업무를 수행합니다. 이 과정에서 정해진 절차와 관련 규정을 준수하며, 타 팀 및 선임 엔지니어와의 기술적인 협업을 통해 복잡한 문제를 해결합니다. 또한 담당 제품에 대한 전문성을 지속적으로 개발하고, 모범 사례를 적용하며, 서비스 품질 및 업무 프로세스의 개선 기회를 발굴하여 조직의 기준과 고객의 기대에 부합하는 우수한 서비스를 제공하는 데 기여합니다.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Provide onsite and remote technical support and maintenance services, including troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and installation of products and services while complying with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Document service activities and findings, including diagnostics, resolution steps, testing procedures, and case status updates, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and effective knowledge sharing.
Work under limited supervision and established processes, exercising independent judgment to ensure compliance and consistent service quality.
Track and record service activities, customer interaction time, parts usage, and service outcomes accurately and in real time to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Prepare thoroughly for service visits by diagnosing potential issues, organizing required parts, and developing structured action plans to maximize first-time fix rates and customer satisfaction.
Manage customer escalations, complaints, and feedback by coordinating timely and effective solutions for both routine and complex issues.
Execute moderately complex to complex field service activities using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to ensure reliable product performance.
Support business growth by identifying upgrade opportunities, potential sales leads, and value-added services during customer interactions.
Continuously develop technical expertise in assigned products and services while identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and customer support.

관련 규정 및 회사 표준을 준수하면서 제품 및 서비스의 문제 해결, 수리, 업그레이드, 설치 등을 포함한 현장 및 원격 기술 지원과 유지보수 서비스를 제공합니다.
진단 결과, 문제 해결 과정, 테스트 절차 및 케이스 진행 상태 등 서비스 활동과 결과를 문서화하여 정확성과 추적 가능성을 확보하고, 관련 지식이 효과적으로 공유될 수 있도록 합니다.
제한적인 감독하에 정해진 절차에 따라 업무를 수행하며, 독립적인 판단을 통해 규정 준수와 일관된 서비스 품질을 유지합니다.
운영 효율성 향상 및 지속적인 개선을 위해 서비스 활동, 고객 응대 시간, 부품 사용 내역 및 서비스 결과를 정확하게 실시간으로 기록하고 관리합니다.
최초 방문 시 문제를 해결하는 비율(First-Time Fix Rate)과 고객 만족도를 높이기 위해 서비스 방문 전에 잠재적인 문제를 진단하고, 필요한 부품을 준비하며, 체계적인 조치 계획을 수립합니다.
일반적인 문제부터 복잡한 문제까지 고객의 에스컬레이션, 불만 및 피드백을 관리하고, 신속하고 효과적인 해결책을 마련하기 위해 관련 부서와 협업합니다.
진단 도구와 문제 해결 기법을 활용하여 중간 수준부터 복잡한 수준까지의 현장 서비스 업무를 수행하고, 제품의 안정적인 성능을 보장합니다.
고객과의 접점에서 업그레이드 기회, 잠재적인 영업 기회 및 부가가치 서비스를 발굴하여 비즈니스 성장에 기여합니다.
담당 제품 및 서비스에 대한 기술 전문성을 지속적으로 향상시키고, 서비스 제공 방식과 고객 지원을 개선할 수 있는 기회를 발굴합니다.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Medical Sciences, or a related scientific field or
Equivalent qualifications obtained through high school or vocational education.
Able to travel to regional locations within Korea as required.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

Medical Equipment Service (CT, US, MR, XR etc.)
Network Diagnosis
System Connectivity
Remote Service
Engineering, Medical, or Science-related environments

or equivalent experience.
